I was lucky enough to be invited back to the Project Show for the 2017 Season. For those unfamiliar, Magic is a collective of 13 different men's and women's trade shows. This multiday event gives brands access to retailers around the country and press to showcase upcoming offerings from their lines. I was once again attending for my second season the Blogger Project. The Blogger Project is a handpicked group of fashion bloggers and creatives by Marcus Troy to create content and help promote brands at the show. Here are a few of my favorite brands from this season.
ARCADY (whose name comes from the ancient Greek region of Arcadia, a place hailed throughout time as a rustic paradise where people lived simple and peaceful lives in harmony with the earth and with each other) is entirely developed and produced in Los Angeles, California. The brand works closely and personally with the people and factories producing its garments, allowing a design-to-production process that is intimate, sustainable, and supportive of the community that ARCADY calls home.
Daniel Won has created a men’s collection that utilizes the finest materials with a focus on an international modern chic, rock & roll inspired design, with a New York influence. The collection incorporates elements of outerwear and sportswear all using a common thread of fine leather. Many items are designed to achieve a multi-faceted use by giving the consumer the ability to create his own distinct look, through removable and reversible functions.
Founded in 2006, Matias currently offers a mix of Japanese raw selvedge, Japanese washed selvedge, and canvas work pants that are all made in Los Angeles, CA. Every item is named after the streets in his home community of Palos Verdes. All design and development is done in-house, as are all patterns and finishing.
Can't wait for next Season!
